Northern Ontario gets down in the Big Smoke and we got in on the fun!

On March 5th, Hannah and Lisette attended Northern Ontario Night at the Steam Whistle Brewery here in Toronto as part of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) annual conference.

They had great fun with two of our Smooth Rock Falls associates Luc Denault and JP Bradette.

Along with excellent Steam Whistle brews, guests were treated to Hearst’s own Loon Vodka graciously supplied by the Rheault Distillery. We highly recommend getting your hands on some of Hearst’s best secret! Although don’t tell Lisette if you want to keep it for very long. Party guests clearly appreciated this delicious nectar as the vodka ran out by 10pm – well before the festivities wrapped up for the evening!

Kings of Nowhere

A good time was had by one and all! The entire crowd got down dancing and singing. Guests boogied to performances by Temiskaming Shores own Kings of Nowhere and Sudbury’s Shaft Bottom Boys. Northern Ontarians and Hannah and Lisette really know how to party!

Shaft Bottom Boys

But perhaps the highlight of the evening were the sounds of a rockin’ band imported from Sudbury busting out Johnny Cash in full mining regalia including lit headlamps!

This city girl had an awesome time surrounded by her Northern Ontarian colleagues and friends. What an evening! Thanks to all of the Northern Ontarian’s in attendance for bringing that special Northern vibe to those of us down here in the south.
