It’s time to get serious about Smooth Rock Falls

Because the results they have seen so far from their marketing and communications efforts are seriously good!


First there was the amazing, totally rocking, blow-the-doors-off launch that reached over 29 million Canadians that we told you about in our last newsletter.  Now we are thrilled at the early results from their ongoing marketing efforts.

Over the past 6 months, the SCG team has helped the Town with their social media presence.  The Facebook page got a revamp and we created Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube accounts.  The Town’s Facebook page now has 1,061 followers.  For a town of 1,300 people that’s not bad at all.  Since taking over the management of their page, SCG has doubled their reach and quadrupled the growth rate of page likes.  Lisette made us put these results on the wall at the office – mainly so she can do a happy dance in front of them once or twice a day.

Using the database of leads generated from the launch, we are working with the municipal staff to send emails announcing everything from real estate opportunities, businesses for sale, job postings for municipal and local jobs, and fresh news about this amazing town.  In addition to the 15 surplus residential lots, the Town made another 5 lots available for sale in November and those quickly sold as well.  They are on a roll!

SCG has finished and has launched the French version of the Smooth Rock Falls website.  That’s right, we do awesome work in both official languages!

Well that is the big news from our ‘near north, near perfect’ client but certainly not the last news we will have to share as we keep working with this incredible town.
